Go To
Wyatt Goibniu
A wandering warrior in search of his father.
- Blood Lust: His aptly named 'Bloodlust' passive, which regenerates his health over time if there's a bleeding enemy in his presence.
- Bow and Sword, in Accord: His Raven's Quill has him wield a bow and dagger together, increasing his damage from behind
- Deadpan Snarker: His default expression is an annoyed scowl, and he seems to have this attitude towards most weird things he comes across.
- Dual Wielding: His Seraphic Blades allow him to do this: they double the number of hits of almost all of his attacks and allow him to float when using his air combos, but they have shorter range than his default sword, don't have as many guardbreaking hits and reduce the overall damage of his attacks.
- Enemy Within: Wyatt's half-demon heritage makes him a savage and powerful fighter, but also makes him vulnerable to Myrgato's influence. A cutscene in his ending shows him briefly falling under her control moments before passing out from his wounds.
- Human Weapon: In Wyatt's ending, Valdis asks him to become 'weapon and armor' for Reina. She expresses satisfaction that he refuses to let moral considerations get in the way of killing Reina's enemies. He embraces the role so completley that Gilda's ending has her sadly reflect that it makes him incapable of human emotions (specifically, love).
- Light 'em Up / Casting a Shadow: His unique spell elements, they are mostly focused around healing and protection as well as stealing health and stealth, respectively.
- Luckily, My Shield Will Protect Me: His golden weapon is the Golden Shell, a sword and shield set that grants him charges as he parries or blocks attacks, and releases them into a projectile when he attacks while fully charged.
- Multi-Melee Master: His useable weapons include a sword, unarmed stance-based martial arts, a pair of angelic swords and a combination of a dagger and a bow.
- Stance System: His unarmed fighting style works somewhat like this. Depending on what heavy attack you use the last, his light attack chain changes: it can either be all punches, all kicks, a mixture of both or end in a flip kick followed by a dive kick. The reverse also applies to his heavy attacks, although to a lesser degree: if used alone or after just 1 light attack, it results in a single backflip kick, but after at least 2 light attacks, he performs the full heavy combo ending in Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs.
- Tyke Bomb: In a rare 'heroic' spin on the trope, Wyatt's father sired him on a powerful demon deliberately. Cadeyrn knew he might not be around to protect Reina as ordered, so he had a superhuman kid to make sure the job got done.
Reina Gaius
An orphan trained by monks. Show user library mac.
- Barefisted Monk: As befitting her backstory. Instead of a starting weapon, she gets an accessory that allows her to use elemental enhancements while barehanded. As described below, she attacks faster than Wyatt and can combo enemies a lot more effectively by default, but she lacks range on most of her attacks until she gets a weapon.
- Defector from Decadence: Reina abandoned the worship of Alagath when she realized the Goddess of Light had no concern for the innocent lives claimed in her war. The deciding factor was when her angelic entourage attacked a human village for harboring the half-demon Wyatt (who had just finished killing the demons attacking the town). She switched sides and chose to travel with him.
- Doppelgänger Attack: One of her unique spell souls allows her to do this: she creates a shortlived glowing copy of herself that attacks the enemy with her midair heavy kick and then proceeds to combo them before disappearing.
- Drop the Hammer: Her Great Hammer is a large mace variety of this, although due to the need to focus on her Strength to make it useful and the questionably slow speed at which she wields it when compared to the rest of her weapons makes it largely not worth bothering with outside of a said build.
- Fragile Speedster, Glass Cannon, Glacier Waif: Depending on her build and choice of weapon, she can be all 3: most of her effective builds use armor with low overall defense, and she moves and attacks a good deal faster than Wyatt does. She also makes great use of her unique status effect described below and can shred some bosses ridiculously quickly if equiped properly and if she has the right skillset. On the other hand, one of her weapons also allows her to block all heavy attacks and spells by default, which allows her to play defensively even though she has low defense under most circumstances.
- Holy Hand Grenade: A more specific version of Wyatt's Light element, hers is used more offensively and as an overall enhancement and is more accurately described as divine power: this manifests mostly in the unique Reckoning status effect that she can inflict on her enemies to greatly lower their defenses.
- Luke, I Am Your Father: She's actually the previously-unheard-of third daughter of Valdis: after she made the mistake of giving Alagath and Myrgato divine power after creating them, she instead made Reina earn hers on her own so she would be more responsible with it and wouldn't turn into a totalitarian tyrant like they did and would hopefully one day be able to get rid of the other 2.
- Refusal of the Call: Reina was selected by the angels who raised her to become the most powerful angel in existence, serve as Alagath's right hand, and end the war. Reina's reluctance to absorb hundreds of human souls to make that happen was a major factor in her decision to join Wyatt. Then a giant whale sinks her ship, and she gets a different Call altogether.
- Simple Staff: Her Monk's Staff essentially works as an overall upgrade to her normal unarmed fighting style, as the attacks have similar animations and she plays similarly, but with a greatly increased range and the ability to block any and all attacks and spells by default. The main gameplay differences between it and her unarmed style is that it's somewhat slower by default and has shorter combos, it doesn't make use of her guardbreaking kicks and using a heavy attack on the ground creates a multihitting tornado with an element determined by her current upper spell slot that costs MP to use.
- The Turret Master: Her Soul Collector weapon works essentially like a magical variation of this. Using a heavy attack with it equiped places (or drops it) on the ground, where it'll give Reina passive buffs and shoot beams at the enemy, and every 5 combo hits or an enemy kill while it's present increases its soul level, which can increase its buffs up to 5 times the base value. The element of its beams is determined by Reina's current side spell slot and it has a high chance to cause status aliments innate to the element, making it one of the easiest ways to do so. However, it only lasts for about 10 seconds when deployed, each deployment costs a noticeable amount of MP, it can't be moved afterwards, its soul level resets when it disappears and equiping it deprives Reina of her normal Launcher Move, one of her most useful attacks, although as a replacement, the third hit of her light combo becomes an uppercut that functions in a similar manner but with a lower height. In short, it's a potentially useful weapon on several bosses and in prolonged fights in general but a bit too situational to use in normal combat.
- Wolverine Claws: Her golden weapon are the Golden Talons, which gather energy on critical hits and releases them on heavy attacks.
Vladyn van Timalt
A man subjected to experiments with the purpose to contain countless demon and angel souls within his arm.
- Badass Bookworm: Is delighted to make the Ancient Library their crew's new temporary home due to all the rare books he can read there, but can kick ass with the best of them.
- Casanova Wannabe: He's made (in the words of Great Fang Kick teacher Rinn Speras) 'weak advances' on at least two of his crewmates.
- Cast from Money: Of a sort, one of his passives, 'Mercenary' increases his shotgun's damage for each Ancient Coin in his inventory.
- Chivalrous Pervert: Is somewhat flirtatious with some female NPCs as well as Gilda, but aside from that, he tends to be rather focused at the task at hand
- Distressed Dude: In all Story Modes except his own, Vladyn ends up poisoned after he saves a couple of guards from Hrukk, causing the player to have to find a cure for him once they arrive and find him there.
- The Gadfly: He really enjoys pushing Wyatt's buttons.
- The Gunslinger: Starts off with a handgun and a shotgun and his later weapons are almost exclusively firearms
- Knife Nut: His golden weapon is the Golden Kris, which gives him an extra skill cancel and allows him to store charges by dodging attacks
- Light 'em Up/ The Minion Master: His default spells, the former is identical to Wyatt's light magic, while the latter, unique to him, allows him to summon summon various minions to fight at his side
- Mediator: Acts as one for the crew, as he's able to help the conflicting Humans, Angels, and Demons get along within their group.
- Red Right Hand: As should be obvious, although he's not a bad guy.
Gilda Ire
Part blight dragon, part demon on a mission from her late grandfather to find Cadeyrn Goibniu
- Bad Boss: Even the creators themselves◊ agree that the Risen servant she can summon can't catch a break.
- Casting a Shadow: One of her starting elements. Kind of expected, from being half-demon..
- Poisonous Person: ..and half-dragon. Blight Dragon, in particular.
- Dark Is Not Evil: All things about her considered, especially being an ex-commander from Myrgato's demonic army, and being downright the most evil out of the crewmembers, she comes at worst as Chaotic Neutral.
- Fragile Speedster: Comes across as this relative to other characters, as she trades in her ability to parry for a offensive element switch and an improved jump.
- Enemy Within: Downplayed. Like Wyatt, Gilda is half-demon and so can be influenced by Myrgato. Unlike Wyatt, Gilda never loses control and isn't at all worried about her condition, saying outright that it's only a problem for the weak-willed.
- It Amused Me: She claims this is her motive for everything, particularly when talking to angels. As there's plenty more complex motivations in her backstory, it comes across as her refusing to play ball with their pompous moralizing.
- It's Personal: The reason she became a Defector from Decadence and joined Wyatt's crew. Her gramps, the last pure-blood Blight Dragon, got executed by Myrgato for conspiracy.
- Jerkass: She openly tells to most of the civilians she encounters that she doesn't really care if they live or die. Even extends to some of her party members, Reina in particular.
- Love Triangle: Her ending reveals she has a crush on Wyatt, and dislikes Reina as a rival.
- Mechanically Unusual Fighter: Compared to the other three playable characters, she uses magic in an entirely different fashion, being able to cycle through different elements in real time instead of manually picking which spells to equip but being forced to only wield one element at a time.
- One Degree of Separation: Gilda seems to have known all the demon bosses personally from her time in the demon army, addressing them casually and by name. Azudor is even her brother. Being demons, it doesn't stop them cheerfully killing each other.
- Undying Loyalty: The dragon concept of 'war sisters' requires dragons to practice this with those they choose to fight alongside. Gilda gets a bit embarrassed when Valdis observes that she has this relationship with Reina, who Gilda is vocal about disliking. 'Undying' isn't hyperbole either, as the bond between Reina and Gilda is apparently an extension of that forged between their deceased mother and grandmother, respectively.
- Winged Humanoid: Has a small pair of wings thanks to her dragon heritage. She can't fly, but with the right skill upgrades can triple-jump, making most jumping puzzles trivial.
Tropes applying to the Crew as a whole
The crew led by Wyatt, after having fallen from the Ocean to Sitheil, they become scattered throughout the game's world. Most of them were designed by the highest tiered backers for the game's Kickstarter.- Badass Crew: It seems every single member can hold her or his own in a fight
- Defector from Decadence: All of the Angel and Demon members of the crew left their respective side of the war for various reasons (Yama Dee after finding out humans were also targeted by the Alagathian army, Rinn Speras because the regiment she commanded was intentionally sacrificed by Myrgato, e.t.c.)
- Ragtag Bunch of Misfits: By the setting's standards, they are a diverse group, being comprised of Humans, Angels, and Demons, each with their unique personalities and motivations.
Atalan Trair
Atalan was born in Sitheil after its fall. She is well known by the people of Sitheil for scavenging supplies in areas of the city that other can't or won't go into.- Assist Character: When she appears she'll throw daggers at a nearby target, bleeding them if the daggers crit.
- Break the Cutie: Depending on the player's choices, she'll either be forced to kill her brother to prevent him from selling out Tagrum Village, or have her home village destroyed by the Angels
- Flechette Storm: The amount of daggers she throws increases with her summon level, allowing her to throw five daggers in a row when maxed out.
- I Owe You My Life: She gets saved by the player character after she gets caught by Azudor and his demon army, which is effectively what earns the player the trust of Tagrum Village.
- Mystical White Hair: As she is a human native to Sitheil, her hair is white.
Faolan
Faolan was raised by Reina. She found him as a pup alone in the woods near the monastery. He thinks of her as his mother and follows her closely at all times.- Assist Character: When called out, he'll perform a battle howl to regenerate your mana and then do a dive attack up front.
- Noble Wolf: Essentially so.
Synthie
A notorious Pirate that was cursed after being caught stealing from a Myrgatian trade ship. She only travels with Wyatt and the others because they tend to cause a commotion everywhere they go, which is the perfect distraction for her to steal things.- Pirate: Of the 'rogue' type, she serves as a merchant for the crew rather than a fighter.
Honest Davion
An unscrupulous trader, who is more concerned with his secret stash of money than the fate of the world.- Honest John's Dealership: As can be expected from the name. His introductory cutscene involves him pissing off a demon because he cheated in a card game, to which he replies that since he was, well, a demon, he expected him to cheat right back.
Yama Dee
A talented Alagathian weaponsmith that abandoned his post when he found out his weapons were not only being used to fight demons. He did not agree with the common Alagathian idea that any human not allied with the angels was a threat.- The Blacksmith: Crafts and upgrades light weapons
Daborsk
No one knows exactly why this brilliant Alagathian mana weaver left the angelic army. He tends to avoid conflict, end everyone in the crew seems to be more relaxed when he's around- White Mage: Upgrades the crew's light magics
Walter
A cantankerous cat-like demon, who is very skilled with dark magics. He owes Wyatt a life debt after saving him from some templars to years ago. If it wasn't for the strict code of honor his people live by, he would have left the crew long ago.. maybe. At least that's what he tells everyone.- Black Mage: Upgrade's the crew's dark magics
Dave Mac
A skilled weapon smith that just happened to be born a demon. He usually tries to hide his demonic features to avoid unwanted attention. He would rather spend his time tinkering in his workshop instead of spreading ruin in the name of Myrgato.- The Blacksmith: Crafts and upgrades dark weapons.
Shunaffy
A talented young witch whose tribe was hunted down by a troop of soul rangers. She is protected by the phantom souls of her loved ones.- Assist Character: Teaches the player to summons spirits to fight by their side as a Focus Finisher
- Eyes Always Closed: They are never shown to be open
Sir Pancakes
Not much is known of this trickster spirit. Vladyn believes he may be the return of a phenomenon recorded in ancient history known as Giadines.- Luck-Based Mission: Teaches the Focus Finisher 'Fate Roulette' which gives a random effect to a player, some positive, some negative
- Precious Puppy: A spectral floating one with a top hat. And a fitting name.
Shadoboxxer
A self taught warrior with a strong sense of justice. There is a bounty on his head from both sides of the war, because of his constant interference with the occupation of human territories. His powers of stealth have managed to keep him just out of reach thus far.- Assist Character: His assist has him dashing in to uppercut enemies, launching them into the air. The number of dashes increases as he levels up, capping at 3 at level 5.
- Bare-Fisted Monk: As implied by his name.
Reize Seatlan
Growing up in the simple hunting village, the 14-year-old Reize was raised upon stories of exploration, adventure, and heroics by his father, a once well-known explorer and adventurer. Enthusiastic and compassionate, Reize makes friends easily, and he is idealistically committed to his own imagined 'Knight's Code', despite their ambiguity. Though his bumbling and lack of navigational abilities tend to cause him to show up at the wrong place at the wrong time, he is nevertheless eminently adaptable, and now on the path to becoming an explorer.- Assist Character: When he appears he'll throw out two arcing boomerangs that can stun on hit and return to him.
- Guest Fighter: Also appeared in Shovel Knight as a boss, it should be noted that his designer was a backer for both games.
Edgar
A tactical combat specialist from Iqor region. Best known for his role during the Greyvale occupation, where he and twenty other knights stalled the advance of five hundred demons while the residents of the city escaped to safety.- Blow You Away: The Focus Finisher he teaches summons a tornado around the player to damage enemies.
Rinn Speras
A former General of the Dark Army. She seeks revenge against Myrgato after being used as bait and having her entire regiment sacrificed in a failed attempt to draw out an opposing force from their entrenched position.- Bare-Fisted Monk: When confronted by a Demon Assassin, she takes him out barehandedly. The Focus Finisher she teaches is a flurry of barrages with the player's bare hands.
Bolverk
A sole survivor of a clan of frost giants that refused to join a side of the war. They were hunted down by both sides in order to prevent the giants' power from being used against them.- Assist Character: When summoned, he'll cleave enemies in front of him and buff the player's attack.
- Last of His Kind: Of a clan of frost giants
Ben McSteely
My name? I guess you can call me.. Ben Mc Steely. Some people do. They're wrong, but they do call me that.- Banana Peel: In a strange variant, for the Focus Finisher he teaches, the player throws out a banana peel, and if it hits a monster then they'll perform a barrage of attacks, teleporting between enemies on the screen before finishing it off with a final blow.
- Cloudcuckoolander: Very much so. His Lore entry is written is first person and only consists of him stating that the name given isn't his real one, his idea of fighting enemies involves throwing exploding bananas at enemies to distract them before finishing them off with your sword and then complaining how he's hungry now that he's given them all away to you. Finally, he's found in a locked room, constantly blocking an enemy's attacks and easily killing him off when you reach him after obtaining the key, stating that it wouldn't be dramatic enough if he were to just stand there and wait to be rescued.
Kantae
Has a very analytical and purpose-oriented mentality, but lacks social experience. Lacks a mental filter, so he has a few friends. Seems to get along with Wyatt.. somehow.- Ambiguous Disorder: He tends to be rather spacey, and the reason why he didn't join Honest Davison and Reize into the Guardian Temple was because he would have to walk through the crowd of people in Ishk first, suggesting he has a dislike of crowds.
- Assist Character: When summoned he'll heal the player and give them an armor and resist buff as well as stun and silence nearby monsters, making him extremely valuable at providing openings during boss fights.
Chan Lap Kim
A lazy spirit creature with a fondness for firearms. He was acting as the ships main cannon before the fall to Sitheil.- Assist Character: He slams into the ground to daze nearby enemies before unleashing a fiery blast from his Backpack Cannon
- Panda-ing to the Audience: A spirit shaped like one, he's got a cannon-shaped Wave Motion Gun strapped to his back and was apparently employed as Wyatt's ship's main gun.
Axen
An easily irritated Half-Dragon that's descended from the Thunder Wing clan. Axen assists the crew only for the sake of screwing over both Goddesses, not really caring for the plight of mankind. Though the Thunder Wings have a long standing feud with Gilda's clan, the Blight Talons, Axen has put her hatred aside to deal with their mutual enemy...for now.- Assist Character: When called she flies in to fire a lightning strike from behind the enemy
- Winged Humanoid: As a half dragon, she has them. She also uses them to fly behind the enemy during her Assist attack
Daemahn
A wandering martial arts master that values friendship above all else. He's the sole survivor of an ancient clan of warriors that worshiped the Giadine of the Sun thousands of years ago.He joined the crew with hopes of one day facing his dark rival
- Combos: Can extend the combo length of the player's basic attacks
- Double Jump: Can teach the player this.
- Expy: of The Dayman, for Show Within a ShowThe Nightman Cometh of Its Always Sunny In Philadelphia, weirdly enough.
- The Power of Friendship: Often boasts about this with the crew.
Brizhal
A weathered mercenary that rarely speaks. He doesn't seem to trust anyone, and only allied with the crew out of convenience.- Assist Character: He performs a forward slash that increases in damage based on how high of a combo you've racked up before summoning him.
- Only in It for the Money: Will only join the crew if you shell out 3 Ancient Coins for him. In addition, when you find him in the library, he'll outright tell you to leave him alone when you talk to him, stating he's only interested in the money.

Elder Trair
The grandfather of Atalan and leader of Tagrum village.Elder Breyja
The leader of HrukkSezzi the Monk
The leader of Ishk- Dirty Old Man: Flirts quite a bit with Reina, much to her annoyance.
- Hidden Purpose Test: A minor example: he sends the playable character to find Divine Dust and Mark of Valdis so he can forge a new Divine Key out of them, but it turns out that while both items are valuable materials in themselves, he didn't actually need them and had the key all along and fetching those items was a test to see if the playable character was worthy of posessing it.
- Ultimate Blacksmith: A somewhat downplayed example: while he's the only one who can upgrade Wyatt and Vladyn's starting weapons, and is the one who gives Reina her staff and Gilda her secondary relics, the other, more exotic weapons are made by the 2 crewmembers.
Abbigail
- Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: When quizzing Reina on why she left the angels, her first guess is mind control. Her second is 'the pleasures of the flesh'. Reina coolly informs her it had more to do with the angels habit of slaughtering innocents.
- It's Personal: Has it out for Wyatt, as his father Cadeyrn is the reason she ended up with the title 'the Marred'.
- Not Worth Killing: Her lore entry says Cadeyrn did this to her, sparing her with the remark he only killed true warriors, not 'children playing with toys'. She didn't take it well, perhaps because he disfigured her face first.
- Magitek: Her jetpack/wings and pistols run on angelic magic. Her bursts of ice magic look a lot like lasers. Her outfit even has Tron Lines.
- Teleport Spam: She teleports quickly around her room firing at the player. She has such high defence while doing it that her brief rest periods are the only practical time to attack her.
Azudor
- Ax-Crazy: Both in behavior and appearance.
- Mirror Boss: His first fight essentially works as a tutorial on how to effectively use Skill Cancels and blocking attacks, as he has access to one himself and often attacks with weak attacks you need to block since you won't have much in the way of ranged options early in the game.
- One-Winged Angel: If you let Dhistahn live after fighting him in the sewers, you'll fight him and Azudor at the same time when you meet him again in the mines: when you deplete either one's health, Azudor will finish Dhistahn off and absorb his power, becoming Soul Rage Azudor which allows him to fill the room with his clones.
- Uneven Hybrid: Like his sister, Azudor is part demon, part blight dragon. However, unlike Gilda, he has very few draconic characteristics and is almost entirely demon.
- Yin-Yang Bomb: Defeating Soul Rage Azudor will result in another transformation into Abomination, a giant twisted monster that uses both Light and Dark attacks. The 'Twisted Soul' dropped from Abomination's corpse is a vital ingredient for the best armor in the game.
Valdis Story Dan Mac In Library System
Tagu
Ruckjahl
- Degraded Boss: You need to fight him again near the end of the game, but this time his fight isn't ranked and you're a lot stronger.
- Shielded Core Boss: He has 3 weakpoints (his face and the crystals on top of and under it), but only one of them is vulnerable at a time and you need to destroy all 3 to defeat him.
Shu Gotht
- Cowardly Boss: Spends most of the battle teleporting around the room, filling it with poisonous bubbles, and once you reduce his life enough, he encases himself in stone and heals himself if you don't break him out before that.
Dhistahn
- Anti-Magic: All his attacks apply the 'Silence' debuff, preventing players from using magic for a few seconds.
- Cruel Mercy: When you defeat him in the Sewers, you can let him live. Regardless of how the player intends it, he takes it as an insult and swears to kill you next time.
- Knight Templar: As an angel, this is a given. He's a little more vocal about it than some of the others.
- Knife Nut: Most of his attacks involve throwing enchanted daggers.
- Yin-Yang Bomb: An involuntary version if he's allowed to live in the Sewers. He is either absorbed by the demon Azudor or accidentally absorbs Azudor's soul (depending on which the player kills first). In either case, he eventually transforms into 'Abomination', a giant twisted monster that uses both Light and Dark attacks. The 'Twisted Soul' that drops from Abomination's corpse is a vital ingredient for the best armor in the game.
Yeti
Jahzracht
- Playing with Fire: A fire based demon who leaves the Soul of the Purifier when defeated, unlocking fire magic for the player
- Unskilled, but Strong: Some of the only characterization he gets is whichever character the player is using making this observation after he dies.
Magus
- Anti-Magic: Casting any buffing spells in her presence causes her to steal them, using them to heal herself.
- 'Get Back Here!' Boss: Not to the extent of Treu, but she tends to dash around the battlefield, rarely directly engaging the player.
Raven
- Palette Swap: Of Yeti, although the location he's fought in, changed element and harder-to-avoid attacks make the fight play out differently.
Treu
- Asskicking Equals Authority: Treu was a rookie monk is his teens prior to receiving the soul infusion that made him the Golden Child. Immediately afterwards he was appointed the High Commander of the Alagathian military.
- 'Get Back Here!' Boss: One of his attacks has him teleport to the top of the room and float there shooting lightning bolts down at you. He won't move until you climb up through the lightning traps and hit him.
- Not So Different: When defeated, he argues it's hypocritical to despise angels for taking souls when the player has been doing the same thing for powerups the entire game. The characters have different responses, ranging from defiant to resigned. Except Glida, who bypasses the whole conversation by not even pretending to be moral.
- Powered by a Forsaken Child: Reina was originally meant to be the recipient of the hundreds of souls prepared for her to make her the new Golden Child, but when she abandoned her training, the monks were forced to choose a new vessel for them, which ended up being Treu.
- Shock and Awe: His entire moveset. Even the punches.
Valdis Story Dan Mac In Library Windows 10
Manawar
- Meaningful Name/ Punny Name: It's a giant man-of-war that spends most of the battle casting various spells.
- Weaksauce Weakness: If you can manage to consistently silence it, it becomes powerless and unable to attack.
Gernot
Eye of Alagath
- Fighting a Shadow: The description for both Eyes claims they only hold a fraction of the goddess' power. Doesn't stop them from being some of the hardest bosses in the game.
- Human Sacrifice: At Alagath's request, a lowly angel sacrifices her body to the Eye to let it become Alagath's avatar.
Eye of Myrgato
- Fighting a Shadow: The description for both Eyes claims they only hold a fraction of the goddess' power. Doesn't stop them from being some of the hardest bosses in the game.
- Human Sacrifice: A low-ranked demon volunteers himself for sacrifice to let the Eye become Myrgato's avatar.
- Kick the Dog: The demon who offers himself up as a sacrifice spends his last words praising Myrgato's name and declaring his loyalty. She takes the time to tell him how useless and pathetic he is before he dies.
Anemone
Valdis Game
- Came Back Strong: Defeating Anemone the first time leaves nothing but her head behind. That's apparently enough for her to regenerate a second, far larger body and fight you again as 'True Anemone'.
- Poor Communication Kills: As a servant of Valdis, Anemone is technically on the player's side. Unlike the other ferals, she's smart enough to realize that you're not on the list of things she was ordered to kill. She even asks Valdis for instructions, but when Valdis doesn't respond she decides she'll eat you just to be safe.
